Step 1. Analysis of the student.
Last lesson , we know Jenny an d D anny will write their project about the Silk Road, Danny will talk some places of interest in China, Jenny will talk Marco Polo.
Step 2. Lead in.(引入)
Greet the students in English and make sure they can response correctly.
Then check up the homework, and ask the Ss to dictate the words in lesson 7.
Step 3. New lesson.(新课)
No. 1 Text:
1. Teach the new words and expressions:
age, goods, Europe, Asia, journey, king, coal, discover, invent, other, at the , be new to.
Write them on the blackboard.
Then demand the Ss learn the text by themselves first.
2. Ask the students to discuss the questions:
What country did Marco Polo come from?
How did he and his brother travel?
How long did his journey last?
When did he travel to Beijing?
3. Explain the language points.
