  一.定义:结果状语从句,从句部分是补充说明主句中谓语动词发生的结果,通常位于主句之后。

1)目的状语从句常见引导词

    e.g. 1I turned off the TV so that my roommate could study in peace and quiet. 我关掉了电视,好让我的室友安静地学习。
        2We climbed high so that we could get a better view. 我们爬得很高,所以我们可以看到更好的风景。
    3They carved the words on the stone so that/in order that the future generation would remember what they had done.他们把字刻在石头上是为了让后代记住他们所做的事。
  2)结果状语从句常见的连接词
    主要有:so…that, such…that,从句中一般不带情态动词,但cancouldmust除外,且从句都要放在主句之后。期中so是副词,such是形容词。
    e.g. The food is so bad in the school cafeteria that flies go there to lose weight.我们学校食堂饭菜质量太差,连苍蝇都去那儿减肥。
        The wind was so strong that he could hardly move forward. 风刮得如此猛烈,以致他几乎是寸步难行
    注:不要受汉语思维的影响,把这里的so改成了verytoo

    1so后面直接加形容词,such要先接冠词a(n)
