缸体

M266发动机采用铝质的缸体，通过压力铸造成型。缸体镶有铸铁气缸衬套。气缸的圆心距（cylinder spacing）是90毫米。主轴承盖经过了优化，以满足大负荷的输出。曲轴的轴承点在缸体上得到了扩展。更坚固的侧壁使得缸体结构得到强化，同时降低了噪音的扩散。
涡轮增压型号的缸体增加了给涡轮供应机油的回油连接以及机油-冷却液热交换器的法兰。

活塞
自然吸气发动机：
M266系列发动机为了实现三种不同排量的型号，铝质的活塞分别有不同的压缩区（compression areas大狗，见下图），以此实现不同的燃烧室（压缩比不一样）。
涡轮增压发动机：
活塞没有压缩区。
为了在减小尺寸的同时获得优异的低噪音特性，同时为了提高发动机在极端情况下的工作特性，所有型号所使用的活塞都电镀了一层铁材质。
机油的油道有喷射装置，可用于喷射机油冷却活塞。在自然吸气和涡轮镇压发动机中，压力调节的机油喷射装置有不同的打开截面。

连杆
∙ 铸钢制造的连杆；

∙ 有两个机油滴油孔给活塞销提供润滑；（For piston pin lubrication, piston pin boss equipped with two oil lubrication drilling holes）
∙ 机油喷射嘴把机油喷射到活塞底部的表面以此冷却活塞；并通过滴油孔冷却活塞销。（Oil spray nozzles spray engine oil to bottom surfaces of piston for piston cooling and the dripping oil for lubricating the piston pin via two drilling holes）

维修提示
因为M266发动机系列有三种不同排量的型号，因此也有三种不同的连杆：
A/B 150 连杆长度： 156 毫米；
A/B 170 连杆长度： 152 毫米；
A/B 200/Turbo 连杆长度： 142.5 毫米。
气缸盖
气缸盖有一个漩涡道（swirl duct），可以增加燃油/空气混和物的相对运动，获得更优化的燃烧过程。同时通过改进燃烧室、居中布置火花塞等措施提高对气缸内残留气体的兼容性。
安全气囊气体发生器
The compact aluminum cylinder head has a swirl duct, which places the fuel/air mixture in a fast turbulent movement and ensures an optimal combustion process in this way. At the same time, the combustion chamber ceiling and thus the compression area has been modified, which leads to a higher residual gas compatibility. The almost central location of the spark plugs in the combustion chamber serve the same purpose.
