英语重点词汇语法详解far用法
一、副词
far 用作副词表示程度时，可用于修饰以下成分：北京二手货车
(1) 修饰形容词，这类用法非常有限，主要用于修饰wrong, different, superior, short (of) 等。如：
If you remember these three golden rules you won't go far wrong.
记住这三条金律，就不会错到哪儿。
I hadn't been far wrong in my estimate.
我过去的估计大致正确。
丰田柯斯达I hadn't been far wrong in my estimate of his grandson's capabilities.
我对他孙子的能力的判断还不算太离谱。
His men were far superior numerically.
他手下的士兵在人数上占了绝对优势。
This movie is far superior to his first one.

(2) 修饰副词，这类用法也比较有限，主要用来修饰 away, off, out, back, behind, below等表示位置或距离的副词，一般不用来修饰 quickly, sadly, happily等副词。如：
He had gone as far away as possible to build a new life.
他去了尽可能远的地方开始新的生活。
The two women were sitting as far away from each other as possible.
那两个女人坐在离对方尽可能远的地方。
They came from as far away as Florida.
他们来自遥远的佛罗里达州。
Summer's not far off now.
夏天已近在眼前了。
Robinson didn't think the story was so far off the mark.
